Today, WaterAid are hosting a 24 hour tweet-athon to show what an international charity does in a day. According to WaterAid’s Website Manager Joe Downie, it’s the first of its kind from an international charity.
It is hoped that the tweet-athon will highlight the breadth and depth of the work that WaterAid does in 26 countries around the world; enabling the poorest communities to gain access to safe water, sanitation and hygiene. It also aims to increase its transparency, communicating some of the complexities behind development.
You can follow WaterAid throughout the day over at Twitter with the #WaterAid24 hashtag, or simply follow the main @WaterAid account.
